On-site Policies: 

In order for everyone in your group to have a positive chair massage experience, please keep the following information in mind:

Arrival Time: The massage therapist(s) arrive 15 to 20 minutes before they are to begin work in order to set up.

Space Requirements: Each therapist needs at least an 8’ x 8’ space (6’ x 6’ space for 10-minute massages and 5’ x 6’ space for 5-minute tune ups), that is well lighted and ventilated, within which to set up their massage chairs and work. They also each need a small table (2 therapists can share one table) on which to put their supplies, and a small trash can. Please allow easy access to a TELEPHONE (if they are inside) to make inside calls.

Signing up by appointment (on paper or on-line): For group events in which participants sign up for specific appointment times, a customized sign up sheet can be provided for you (and be sent to you via email to be printed). There may be more than one, depending on the number of therapists coming to your site. We highly recommend that everyone who is to receive a massage already be scheduled on the sign up sheet(s) before the massage therapist(s) arrive. This way there are no delays in deciding who is going to go 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on.  Due to other time commitments, the therapist(s) cannot work past the agreed upon hours*. BE SURE THAT EACH SIGN UP SHEET INCLUDES EACH PARTICIPANT’S NAME, MASSAGE APPOINTMENT TIME, AND TELEPHONE EXTENSION NUMBER. Please give the sign up sheet(s) to the therapist(s) when they arrive.  As part of our service, the massage therapist(s) make courtesy calls to remind participants who are not on time for their appointments. The Therapist(s) will take the sign up sheet(s) with them when they leave.  If you want copies, make sure you get them copied before they leave.

Late Policy:  Participants arriving late to their scheduled appointments will only receive the time remaining for their massage. You may want to designate someone in your office to call and remind each participant a few minutes before each appointment (Optional).

Signing up NOT by appointment:  For group events in which participants do not sign up for specific appointment times, we will have them sign up on our Acknowledgment Forms (which the massage therapist(s) will bring with them to the event). The massage therapist(s) will work on participants in the order in which they sign up.  Due to other time commitments, the therapist(s) cannot work past the agreed upon hours*

Therapists’ Breaks:  Massage therapists working for Seize the Day, will never work more than 2 hours without receiving a 15- or 20-minute break. You, the client, are never charged for therapists’ break times. Therapists (if more than one) will never take their breaks at the same time to insure that there is always someone providing chair massage throughout the event.

Pregnancy Notice: We are sorry, but the therapist(s) cannot work on anyone who is trying to become pregnant (and is not sure they are not pregnant) nor anyone who is in their first trimester of pregnancy, nor anyone experiencing a problem pregnancy. For anyone looking for massage therapists specializing in pregnancy, they may call 512-327-1988.

Music:  We do not guarantee that the therapist(s) will bring music. If you definitely want music provided during the massages, you will need to provide your own jam box and CD's.

Cancellation Policy:  If you need to cancel your order, you must do so at least 48 hours in advance of your requested start-time and date of service so as not to incur the full charge.

*If you end up needing/wanting more time for chair massage (at the end of the Massage Therapist’s work period) than you originally agreed upon AND the massage therapist agrees to work longer, you will be charged as follows: $2.00 per minute for each additional minute each massage therapist works beyond their original agreed-upon end time. You can try to call Tom Darilek at 512-327-2284, ext 8 and see if he can add the charges to your bill. Otherwise, you must pay each massage therapist directly for their extra time before he/she leaves your site (Checks are to be made out to Seize the Day Massage.)
